About the Chamber

The Armstrong Spallumcheen Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization that markets our community and businesses, promoting products and services made and provided in Armstrong and Spallumcheen.

The chamber is also a watchdog protecting member interests, particularly in respect to municipal governance. The united voice of the chamber proves effective for businesses and residents where a single voice can go unheard.

The benefit of belonging to the chamber is full-time representation and year-round results. Members join their voice with a strong collective voice in business. Membership can be good for you, your business, and your community.

The chamber runs the Armstrong Spallumcheen Visitor Centre. Tourism is one of the biggest things the chamber does. The chamber is the host organization for the Visitor Centre, it signs the annual tourism agreement with Destination BC, and it delivers visitor services for the City of Armstrong and the Township of Spallumcheen. What the chamber does

The chamber’s work reaches well beyond membership administration. Membership fees help fund the core chamber office, but the chamber also applies for grants, manages sponsorships, coordinates community events, supports visitor and tourism services, and works with the City of Armstrong, the Township of Spallumcheen, local businesses, volunteers, and community partners.

Throughout the year, the chamber helps deliver:

This work is funded through a mix of memberships, grants, municipal contributions, sponsorships, event registrations, advertising, donations, retail and service revenue, and in-kind contributions from local partners.

In recent financial statements, membership revenue represented only a small part of the chamber’s total operating revenue. Most of the chamber’s work is delivered by combining memberships with grants, municipal support, sponsorships, registrations, donations, in-kind contributions, and staff time.

That mix of support allows the chamber to deliver projects that benefit members, residents, visitors, and the broader Armstrong Spallumcheen community.
