Music in the Park: Dirt Road Kings

Dirt Road Kings closes out the 2026 Music in the Park series. The music runs from 7 pm to 9 pm at the Lions Gazebo in Memorial Park.

Dirt Road Kings brings a decade of country-rock anthems, heartfelt melodies, musical chemistry, and high-energy live performance rooted in the Okanagan Valley. The band has played stages across British Columbia and built a devoted fanbase with a sound that connects with country fans and non-country fans alike.

The four-piece lineup features Dennis Nickell on vocals, Kyle Haynes on guitar, Shane Bouthillier on drums, and Marcus O’Dwyer on bass. Dennis and Shane previously honed their skills with the hard rock band Cold Driven, while Kyle joined Dirt Road Kings in 2017 as a seasoned studio and touring musician, producer, and guitarist with experience across original and tribute acts. Marcus brings powerful bass work and a playing style that has helped take the band to new heights.

Dirt Road Kings are known for explosive, professional live shows with arena-style country-rock energy. They have performed at major BC events including Rockin River, Boogie Bash, Summer Stomp, Funtastic, the Interior Provincial Exhibition, Falkland Stampede, Armstrong Rodeo, and Ribfest, along with local venues and community events throughout the region. The band also recently played to a sold-out crowd at Prospera Place in Kelowna during a Kelowna Rockets hockey game.

With years of experience, a strong legacy, and a sound that is still fresh and energetic, Dirt Road Kings are ready to keep blazing their trail through British Columbia and beyond.

Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket. Food trucks are on site. The chamber collects donations of non-perishable food items for the Armstrong Food Bank at every concert.
